Let me explain. A relationship I didn't seek or go after but rather a relationship that sought me out. A realtionship with Omnipotence the all powerful God. A relationship with Omniscience, the all knowing God and a relationship with omnipresence the ever present God.
Sitting in a philosphy class in a large mid-western university, I was struck by the introductory statement of the professor as he began his lecture, " Students let me announce to you, there are NO absolutes. " I was impressed with his forthrightness in making that statement and at the same time questioning his understanding of what he had just said. To declare even on a university campus there are" NO absolutes," is to insist beyond reason that this individual possessed understanding beyond the rational. His certainty was not to be questioned in that statement. How wrong he was. My relationship with the omniscience God has assured me personally, in a relationship that continues to grow, His intention and purpose to nuture me in my belief concerning Him, hence, His coming to me to affirm that relationship rather than my seeking Him in the hope of establishing such a relationship. With an affirmation beyond question affirming who He is, the all knowing and all loving God.
He speaks in Matthew 11:28 to each of us seeking that life-changing relationship that only He can affirm in an absolute unquestioning way:
Come unto me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
These words spoken by His son Jesus Christ, my savior and Lord.

In my reading this morning two words that I came across have caused me to think not only about myself but also about, colleagues, students and friends both near and distant and I began asking myself some rather serious questions about the nature of my relationships.
Recognizing my desire to live openly with everyone the question sometimes arises, have I always insisted on that openness with everyone or have I selected just a few in a preferential sense to share that closeness.
In borrowing the term "intuitive jar" from Oswald Chambers, I am prompted to ask myself are all of my relationships expressing the sameness with everyone or did I have "favorites"?
My response to the intuitive nudge, insists on rank honesty and openness with all my friends to accept each the way he/she is. With the confidence that each continues to respond to my personal obedience to the intuitive nudge.
Students who are now adults despite the passing of years still offer the same openness experienced back in the classroom for which I am internally grateful because it confirms that intuitive nudge I realized in a student teacher relationship that openness, honesty, clarity and caring still prevail.

Take yourself by the scruff of the neck and shake off your incarnate laziness. Laziness is always seen in the cravings for the high hour; we talk about working up to a time on the mount.
We have to learn to live in the grey day according to what we saw on the mount.
Oswald Chambers- April 16
What is your mount ?
What does it consist of?
Is it a high mount or a low mount?
Is it within your reach?
What are your aspirations?
Are they on the top or halfway up?
Do you strive for the summit or someplace in between?
Self examination comes to mind. How honest are you with self-examination or do you get your cue from others instead of your own inner voice?
Intellect divorced from Deity deals only with dust.- G. Campbell Morgan
Is Deity included in your effort to self examine.................does God have a place in your life?

At the very center of the universe is a loving heart that continues to beat and that wants the best for every person. Anything that we can do to help foster the intellect and spiritual and emotional growth of our fellow human beings, That is our job. - Fred Rogers
It is my sincere hope that what you will read on this site will in some small way, foster your own intellect and spiritual and emotional growth. Whether you are just starting out or have some experience behind you, know that there is a deep need for one another, to support and love one another, to bear each others burdens. At home, school, work, church and community, the idea to love one another should be ever present.
You learn from those you love-
Love deeply, with acceptance of each other, with honesty for one another, always open to receive back what you put forth.
